Newton & Henry hosted the 2020 Federal Budget Breakfast at Josef Chromy Vineyards on Wednesday 7th October. The inaugural Newton & Henry Federal Budget Breakfast provided business leaders with the opportunity to gain deeper insight into the Federal Budget’s implications with a particular focus on Tasmanian business.

The challenges presented by COVID-19 and the ensuing recession created unprecedented interest in this year’s sold out event, with over 80 attendees representing a wide range of Northern Tasmanian industries and businesses.

Newton & Henry Partners provided analysis of budget initiatives and policy and detailed how Tasmanian business can best position itself to capitalise on the opportunities presented.

Leading panelists from across industry and government debated the policy that will shape Tasmania’s future. Panelists included Jane Bennett, CEO & Managing Director, TasFoods Limited, Stephen Brown, CEO City Mission, Sally Darke, Chairperson of the Tasmanian Community Fund and a Non-Executive Director of TasWater and TasPorts, Bridget Archer, MP Federal Member for Bass, and Michael Hine, Partner at Newton & Henry.

Newton & Henry would like to thank all those who attended and look forward to helping our clients should they have any questions.
