Michael Hine

Michael has in excess of 30 years of experience, providing commercial and taxation related advice to a large range of clients in both the private and public sector.

Michael has extensive experience in the provision of advice to entities across Tasmania with a particular focus on health, property and agricultural sectors. He specialises in the development of tax effective structures and the provision of taxation advice to a wide range of sectors covering income tax, goods and services tax, fringe benefits tax and payroll tax.

Michael has led the way in the adoption of cloud-based business applications and can provide practical advice to clients on the best options for their business.

Michael is an active member of the Launceston community and is the current Treasurer of Launceston Festivale Committee Inc.

Andrew Gray

Andrew has worked across all aspects of accounting in his career, including external audit services provided to entities ranging from ASX listed companies, small, medium & large private companies, State Government entities and not for profits. He also provides tax and accounting advisory services to small to medium sized businesses in a variety of industries.

Andrew has a deep understanding of all matters relating to Self-Managed Superannuation Funds and is a registered auditor for funds.

Andrew is the current Chair of Scotch Oakburn College having previously filled other Board and Committee positions.

Nigel Briggs

Professional experience

Nigel has over 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant and he delivers accounting, tax and advisory services to a wide cross section of clients within the Tasmanian market.

Nigel specialises in commercial advice to private business clients of all sizes, predominately in the agricultural, medical, property, food & beverage and hospitality sectors. He has a passion for estate and succession planning, particularly within the agricultural sector.

Nigel is an active member of the Launceston community and is the current President of the Northern Hawks Netball Club.

Jim Dennis

Background / Experience

Professional experience

With over 19 years of experience, Jim provides tax, accounting and advisory services across a broad range of clients in varying industries but with higher weighting towards the agricultural and manufacturing sectors.

Jim has accumulated his experience from working both in public practice and in industry. He worked for Sandvik Mining & Construction for six years in varying roles including APAC business controller for underground mining and as Global Financial Director for Supply Chain Transformation based in Amsterdam.

Jim held the role of Commercial General Manager for Tasmanian Irrigation Pty Ltd for the three years when it was established during which time he developed the water entitlements contracts, led the water sales process, managed government funding and the finance function.

Jim spends a considerable amount if his time in North-East Tasmania and is active in the community as a patrolling member and Treasurer of the Bridport Surf Life Saving Club Inc. He is also the Vice President of the East Launceston Junior Football Club Inc and enjoys spending time supporting his four daughters sporting activities.
